Multiple donation bins and thrift store locations accepting a variety of items, with proceeds funding critical social services. www.meltrotter.org


3. Family Promise of West Michigan

Accepts gently used household items and children’s clothing. Drop-off available Tuesday–Thursday. www.familypromisewm.org


4. Love INC – Love’s Treasures Resale  (Grand Rapids & West MI)

5. Rustic Market (Grand Rapids)

7. Nice Twice  (Grandville/Wyoming)

Supporting the Grandville Calvin Christian Schools in tuition assistance and educational journeys. www.nicetwice.org


8. The Salvation Army (West Michigan)

Proceeds support Adult Rehabilitation Centers, anti-trafficking, homelessness, hunger, senior support, youth programs, and more.


9. Legacy Thrift Stores (formerly Bibles for Missions- West MI)

A nonprofit thrift chain whose proceeds support Christian ministries worldwide. They accept home goods, clothing, and furniture and often offer free pickup for large items. https://www.legacythrift.org/shop


10. North Kent Connect (Rockford)

A Christian nonprofit serving northern Kent County, it accepts donations that support programs aimed at helping vulnerable neighbors gain self-sufficiency. https://nkconnect.org/support-us/


11. Families of Promise – Closet of Hope (Kentwood)

This volunteer-run resource provides free clothing (and sometimes other essentials) for foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Items go directly to children in need. https://togetherchurchonline.com/closet-of-hope


12. YWCA West Central Michigan – (Grand Rapids)

 14. Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids

15. Women’s Resource Center (Grand Rapids)


  1. Check with local churches, food pantries and social service agencies as well who may need household items to help families & individuals. (ie. refugees, foster placements, special needs, homeless, etc.)
